FoodShot Global Prize Winner!

  • Jul 9, 2024
  • 1 min read

Our research lead, Alex Pounds has been awarded a Groundbreaker prize by FoodShot Global. The prize recognises Alex's wider research in East Africa and prize money has been awarded to ThinkAqua to develop RAD (Resilient Aquaculture Designs). Located in Rukungiri, Western Uganda, RAD was pioneered by Dr Tim Messeder and Pauson Mpabukire to provide fish farmers with a route to market for their farmed tilapia, along with the inputs needed for successful farming. ThinkAqua was an original partner of RAD and is supporting the scaling and replication of this pilot. Alex will conduct research on the impact of the model as we replicate with more hubs across East Africa, empowering 5000 farmers and ensuring nutritious fish becomes part of more than 24 million meals.

This was an inspiring example of innovation solving real-world problems. While handling coursework, I once used write my assignment support to better manage my schedule. Creative solutions in food systems can have a major impact on sustainability. Innovation is most powerful when it benefits communities. It showed me how self care matters. It helped me understand large projects better. Nice post . Your post make me smile.

The article about the FoodShot Global Prize winner was inspiring because it highlights how research in aquaculture can directly support farmers and improve food systems in real communities. I found it interesting how the ThinkAqua project focuses on sustainable fish farming in East Africa and helps smallholders build better livelihoods. While studying a similar sustainability topic in class, I once searched for mcgraw hill test-taking experts because I was struggling to manage complex coursework and deadlines at the same time. The post really shows how science and real-world impact can work together to solve global food challenges.

The article about Alex Pounds winning the FoodShot Global GroundBreaker Prize was a great read because it highlights how research can help fish farmers improve their livelihoods and food production. During a busy semester when I was reading about sustainability topics like this, I used online teas exam help to manage my study workload and stay focused on learning. It is encouraging to see projects that create practical benefits for communities while supporting a more sustainable future.

The idea of supporting food innovation to create a better future is very inspiring. I enjoy reading about projects that connect science, agriculture, and sustainability in practical ways. During a busy semester, I used take my online class support while researching food security topics for a class presentation. Learning how creative solutions can improve global food systems gives me hope for the future.
